We add a Sydney Cove icon to our Patch projects

We were thrilled to be part of a new era for Sydney Harbour’s 170-year-old waterfront warehouse, Campbell’s Stores.

Located at 7-27 Circular Quay West, Campbell’s Stores is of great historical and cultural significance. It was built in 1851 for Scottish trader Robert Campbell, just as Sydney began recovering from the 1840s depression as the Australian Gold Rush hit its stride.

When the next owner, the Australasian Steam Navigation Company went into liquidation in 1881, the state government bought it

It’s a rare surviving example of mid-1800s commercial architecture once a common sight in Sydney Cove, according to State Heritage.

Campbell’s Stores is nestled amongst Sydney’s most recognised landmarks—between the Overseas Passenger Terminal and the Park Hyatt Hotel with the Harbour Bridge to the north and the Sydney Opera House to the south.

A stunning waterfront promenade passes the heritage-listed sandstone building from under the Bridge to Circular Quay.

It recently underwent a $54m award-winning refurbishment, currently home to high-end restaurants, bars, and commercial office space. It’s hoped the iconic building can trigger a rejuvenation of The Rocks precinct.

To that end, we helped our client and new leaseholder, Roberts Development, compile a graphics and story-rich Information Memorandum for Campbell’s Stores designed to engage potential tenants.

Current leaseholders include Watersedge, 6Head, Ploos, Luna Lu, Harbourfront Seafood, and Honey Insurance.
